I had the chance to get up close to a monarch (I carried it in my finger for almost an hour), which then left to be part of the surrounding ecosystem. The area surrounding the sanctuary has a lagoon where many water fowl and turtles live, and there is also a restaurant and a mass

After we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Vista Vallarta golf course which was approx. ten minute drive from the sanctuario. A Very enjoyable day.

You will learn about the diversity and importance of butterflies to the world we live in. Please take this tour. I know you’ll learn many new things you didn’t know about these beautiful little friends. Also, be sure to release a new butterfly. It is wonderful experience that will stay with forever.

Incredibly... read more knowledgeable and passionate about butterflies and everything about the sanctuary. It was a very educational experience and calming and relaxing being there. Releasing the butterflies at the end was delightful! Cold water and snacks were very refreshing. Chatting with Chris and Fabian about the project and the protected land was very informative. We will highly recommend this excursion to our families and friends when they visit Puerto Vallarta!
