ABOUT us
Discover Nature. Inspire Conservation.
Founded in 2019, Mariposario Jardín Mágico began with a simple vision: to inspire people to discover, appreciate, and protect
the natural world. What started as the only butterfly sanctuary in Banderas Bay has grown into a center for conservation,
environmental education, and natural history.
Today, our sanctuary protects native pollinators, promotes the conservation of native plants, and provides immersive
educational experiences that connect people with nature. Through our community outreach programs, we have provided free
environmental education experiences to more than 2,000 students, inspiring younger generations to understand the
importance of biodiversity and the need to protect our natural ecosystems.
Our Butterfly Museum continues to grow as a place where visitors can explore the diversity, beauty, and importance of insects
and pollinators through education, exhibits, and conservation.
But our work extends far beyond our gardens. Through conservation initiatives, scientific research, community outreach, and
partnerships, we are helping protect the rich biodiversity of the Banderas Bay region while inspiring future generations to care
for the natural world.
We believe nature is our greatest teacher. By helping people discover its beauty and understand its importance, we can inspire
a lifelong commitment to conservation.
